Do You Have To Refrigerate CBD Oil?

When refrigerated, CBD has a shelf life of about one year. But for short term storage it is not necessary to store CBD Oil in the refrigerator as long it you store it at or below room temperature, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.

In the warmer seasons refrigeration may be a good idea for our pure oil concentrates because warmer temperatures may cause the hemp extract to become thinner than usual and run out of the tube too fast. Refrigeration can thicken those back up and help prevent it from coming out of the tube too fast.

Will Storage Effect The Color?

If your CBD Oil, especially the vape liquids, are exposed to light, the light can change the color. My own vape turned purple in just one day near the window! But it will not affect the quality or benefits unless it is over exposed to sun and heat, mainly heat. So it’s just best to store it away from light and heat.

Will My CBD Oil Be Okay Shipping In Extreme Heat?

If your product is shipped during the summer heat, it will be fine for that short period of time. The key is not to let it sit for days in the hot sun. For example if you left it in your hot car for several days, that could compromise the quality. But it will be ok for a day in your mailbox until you get home to take it inside. And at that point if you ordered one of our concentrates you can throw it in the refrigerator to thicken it up a bit so it doesn’t run out of the tube too fast on you.

What About Other Color and Taste Variations?

CBD is a plant product. And just like all plants they will fluctuate in color and taste with each new batch of CBD Oil. You may notice for example our Gold Label may be darker or lighter with each new batch. It may also have a stronger or milder taste with each new batch. The same goes with our vape liquids, especially the Kush flavor since it is is the natural plant flavor. But the quality is still the same high quality unless you expose your product to extreme heat and the taste changes, the product will then likely be compromised.

How Long Will My CBD Oil Last?

When stored properly in a cool dark location, CBD Oil has a shelf life of one full year, and often longer. You can find the manufacture date {MFG) on your product label.
