Kratom is a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia. It is an all natural herb commonly used for pain and anxiety, but can also be used for insomnia. It has a stronger effect than CBD Oil and may be a good natural alternative option for pain if you’re trying to avoid prescription medications.

I would not consider it a first choice option over CBD Oil however, because there are some potential downsides. While CBD Oil has no real side effects other than sleepiness, dry mouth, or potential upset stomach at higher doses, Kratom does have the potential of being addictive if it is abused. CBD Oil also has health BENEFITS which again in my opinion does make it a better first choice option. But if you’re someone who has tried CBD oil and it is just not strong enough, Kratom may be something to consider.

Does CBD work every time?
CBD is not a cure and it doesn’t work for me every time when I have a wave of severe insomnia (view my story overcoming insomnia), but it is an excellent tool and has helped me tremendously with my sleep over all. The key is taking CBD consistently is to allow it to regulate the sleep cycle, and ideally address the root problem.
